Bruxism involves involuntary clenching or grinding of the teeth during the day or while
sleeping. Over time it may contribute to tooth wear, fractures of restorations, muscle fatigue
and discomfort in the jaw joint. Diagnosis is based on clinical examination, patient history
and, when necessary, radiographic assessment. Management may include a night guard,
occlusal adjustments or interdisciplinary evaluation depending on individual needs. Regular
follow-up helps monitor changes affecting the teeth and jaw.
